She works with voices of all ages, specializing in her work with the young voice.
There is a place where the tender voices of youthful singers can be nurtured — where they can learn to be guided to healthy places in their voices and hearts, as they grow and develop into young men and women.
Dana Greene has set the standard as a leading teacher of voice for kids, tweens and teens, offering a strong vocal technique to build and strengthen the emerging voice, as well as mic technique, stage presence, and performance skills.
Her teaching is also a pathway for students to build confidence and courage. “My greatest passion is to lead a person to a place within themselves beyond what they know. Everyone owns a special gift, a unique voice waiting to be discovered. The voice is the center of the body - where your truth lies. As a student uses their voice in a song, they are also finding that strength and confidence in the voice they take into their lives.”
Dana has brought her teaching talents to the Walt Disney Studios and her students are gracing stages nationwide, from Broadway to National Tours as well recording artists. They have been winners and have received high honors in regional and national vocal competitions, including the Music Center Spotlight Awards, the Sarah Vaughan Competition, Young Arts, and the Southern California Vocal Association Competition for Classical Voice.
Dana also leads workshops, and has served as the Artistic Director of the New Moon Women’s Choir, celebrating life through song.
DANA GREENE is the creative force behind Dana Greene Vocal Works, celebrating it’s 24th year in Pacific Palisades, California.
A Los Angeles based singer, pianist, and entertainer, Dana Greene is a respected musician and performer in the music world. Her story began as a young girl and her love affair with a baby grand piano, becoming an award winning classical pianist into her teens.
Finding her voice in high school, her journey continued as a leading lady of the musical theater, cabaret performer, and songwriter, shaping her as an artist with rare vocal and musical diversity in a unique blending of pop-infused jazz, folk, and blues.
Dana has performed as a solo artist and with her eclectic jazz band on both coasts as well as internationally, captivating audiences with her dynamic style and soulful interpretations. Her music can be heard on all streaming platforms.
